Masaje Noticias: El FSMTB y el NCBTMB han llegado a un acuerdo. El NCBTMB ya no aceptará solicitudes para utilizar sus exámenes de Licenciatura a partir del 1 de noviembre de 2014 y concluyendo el 1 de febrero del 2015. El MBLEx será ya el único examen oficial para certificarse en la carrera de Masaje Profesional, este cambio facilita los trámites y la estandarización para los terapeutas del masaje.

Senate Bill 1295a PASSED!!!!

"This act shall be in full force and effect on and after July 1, 2012, except that the provisions of Sections 54-4005 and 54-4015, Idaho Code, shall not take effect until July 1, 2013". Starting July 1st 2013- You must have a valid license to Practice Massage in Idaho.

You must complete an approved massage study course of 500 hours and then take and pass the MBLEx. A list of initial licensure and Grandfather clauses are listed in Senate Bill 1295a - 54-4009 these are set up for approval until July 1st 2014. The requirements indicate a plan for those already practicing Massage Therapy in Idaho. You must comply with the application process in order to be grandfathered in before July 1, 2014. If you do not obtain a License, you may be subjected to fees of non-compliance and a misdemeanor.

Education Course Curriculum Standards:

-200 Hours in Massage & Bodywork Assessment, Application and Theory

-125 Hours in Body Systems, A&P, & Kinesiology

-40 Hours in Pathology

-25 Hours in Professional Business & Ethics

-110 Hours of Clinical Work
